Mums who are expecting a child and buying toddler clothing should make sure that they eat a well-balanced diet that is full of nutrients for their baby, it has been asserted.
Speaking to the Mirror, Alison Merry, pregnancy exercise expert and director of BloomingFit.com, explained that even if ladies become concerned about carrying a few extra pounds, they should not embark on a diet regime.
She asserted that the main focus should be placed on eating foods that will provide both mother and baby with nutrients and energy.
"To reduce sugar cravings and boost metabolism, eat smaller amounts every four hours, cut down on processed food, sugar and white flour and fill up on fresh fruit and vegetables," the expert recommended.
Earlier this month, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow offered advice to ladies preparing to have babies in an interview with OK! magazine, recommending that they get plenty of sleep to keep their strength up.
